The cooked fruits are pounded in big concrete I wooden mortars using wooden pestle. The pounded product is then put in water to remove nuts and fibre. The removal is through hand squeezing. The obtained oil is then dried and threshed. This method is tedious or highly labor intensive. It requires so much input in terms of time and energy and yet the output is not so much.
